Acer Laptop Firewire Port
How do you transfer video from your camcorder to laptop?
I want to transfer videos from my camcorder to my Acer Aspire 3680-2633 Laptop. It does not have a firewire port that I know of. What are the alternatives? Where can I buy a firewireport for my laptop?
Your best bet is to purchase a firewire card that you can put into your PCMCIA slot. Check any consumer electronics store online (eCost, Tiger Direct, Pricewatch). You can pick one up in the US for less than $20.
After you connect the wires properly, your PC should automatically detect the camera when turned to the "vcr" position.
