Dell Laptop Yellow Flashing Light
My Dell Laptop Wont Turn On?
I have a Dell Inspiron 8500. It will not turn on, but when I push the "on" button a yellow light flashes. Also, I only use the wall power adapter. I took the battery out because it was just extra weight since it doesn't work at all. When I plug the adapter into the wall the black box in the middle of the cord beeps internally. I have no idea what the problem is.
I just got back from a long trip and used my laptop alot while driving. I plugged it into a ciggarette lighter with the use of a power converter. Wall plug to cigarette lighter.
Does anyone know what happened? Is the cord broken? Did I fry my computer from using it too much on the trip?
Please, someone with computer knowledge help me!! I'm about to throw the thing out the window if it wont start working!!

You killed the adapter. The yellow light blinks when the battery is dead or no battery is detected. you aren't getting any juice from the adapter...
Just get a new adapter - or borrow a friends to confirm that it is the adapter and not the laptop. I am 90% sure it is the adapter though
