Read this before buying a laptop.
Looking to buy a laptop? Congratulations So you want a laptop Thin and lightweight, a consumer notebook, ultra portable notebook or a business? What you expect from a Dell, a Gateway, IBM, Sony, or Toshiba, to name a few your options?
Confused yet? It really can be overwhelming. But buying a laptop does not need to learn a new language. This simply means that you need to know what your needs and what equipment is best adapted to meet these needs. Ask yourself the following questions:
1. How will I to use this machine?
The requirements you plan to put on a computer that will determine the amount of memory required, processor speed, size of the screen and the size of your disk. It is also important to use what you think we're going to put in your notebook. For example, you are schlepping to the room in college coffee, or you're all going to use at home, as a replacement for a desktop machine? Will you have a large amount of storage of digital music files or photos or other means that consume large amounts of hard drive space? Do you need wireless capability, and many devices such as CD-RW or DVD? Will any work of art or watching a lot of video on your computer, such as faster processing power and a large screen and high resolution are important to you?
2. How I can find the laptop that is what I want?
Thinner is not always better, but then, sometimes less is more. In the jungle laptop to research the perfect machine can be a challenge. It might be useful to examine different models of laptop and see what features each has to offer.
* Ultra-Portable
These machines are thin, light and small, usually no more than four pounds. What they have in their favor is a lot of processing power or bells and whistles of larger systems: they have no internal CD or DVD, hard drives are rather small, and have screens of 12 inches or less. A good option for someone in the way many of those who do not require much of your system, but the performance is lagging behind other models of laptops.
* Slim and fire
Perfect for business trips, these phones have powerful processors, screens 14 inches and capacity wireless network, and a CD-RW/DVD combo. They have a lot of memory and large hard disks. Commitment: They weigh a little more (four to six pounds) and have a price a little more.
Mainstream laptops *
Basically, these laptops are desktop computers that can make some trips. A six to eight pounds, which come with a screen of 14 inches or more, and sufficient power base in terms of processing speed, memory and hard disk space.
* The replacement of office
The name says it all: I think these laptops are desktops. They have 15-inch monitors 17 inches, larger enough for home movies or creating the game. They have faster processors, larger hard drive and more memory than any other portable device available. And weigh less than seven pounds.
Knowledge of at least some of the terminology should help to maintain intelligent conversations with vendors. And remember: because technology changes so quickly, you never have to be stuck with a laptop without allowance for more than two years!
