Laptop Docking Station Toshiba Satellite
Help, my laptop does not charge?
The plug in the back of my laptop (Toshiba Satellite), where I plug the battery charger wire, does not work. I have tested it with multiple battery wires, but none of them work.
So is there any other way I can charge my laptop? My only thought is to get a docking station but that may be a bit expensive. Is there any other way to charge a laptop...maybe from a usb cable?
As a former Geek Squad member at BestBuy.. although they do a good job, they will overcharge you and "suggest" (as it's their policy) to get something more than what you need... you should however take yourlaptop to a small repair shop that you should be able to find in your local phone book and get a better deal.
Its most likely a loose connection OR you have a battery thats just dead. If you take it to a repair shop they'll throw in one of their batteries and be able to tell ya one way or the other not to mention the diagnostic test.
***also Toshiba announced a recall and a battery replacment so check Toshiba's website, as I know nearly all of their batteries were recalled.. it was recently on their website as well.
*I also believe there is a software you can download that provides an analyzation of your battery.
