Laptop Hdd Size
Unable to Locate 39GB on my Laptop (Win Vista) with 222GB HDD in C-Drive (No-Partition)?
My Laptop shows 161GB free space (out of 222GB Disk space) in C-Drive (No-Partition). However, the total size of files in C Drive is only 21.6GB! (counting all hidden files). Where could the remaining 39.4GB be ? Also, What would be an ok size of C drive for Windows Vista if I want to partition the drive.
2 things, first the manufacturer will take a few gb to create a 'recovery' partition for you to reset the computer to factory default if needed (without disks), the second being there is some space on any HDD taken for indexing tables etc depending on how it is formatted.
