Laptop Lightweight Long Battery Life
Best laptop for college?
My price limit is $1,500.
I need something lightweight, fast, and able to function when dealing with a lot of open programs or photos.
A long battery life is almost required, because what is the point of having a laptop if I have to charge it every 2 or 3 hours?
A built in webcam would be great because I want to talk with friends and family.
If it has an awesome graphics deal going on, that's a plus.
I do a lot of film and photo editing.
I was looking into getting a Macbook, but they're expensive and I'd need to get a printer too. They aren't out of the picture though. I'll probably end up getting one if I get no answers here.
I already have a Sony Vaio "Z", but it SUCKS. It overheats all the time and runs slower than a snail.
Im using a Dell Studio 15 laptop worth £500 and its amazing for speed, has a webcam, good graphics, pretty amazing laptop BUT battery only lasts about 3 hours :/ but if your looking for more $1,500.... Try a Dell XPS, they've got amazing graphics (nivada), great processor for open programs.. etc, but as with all laptops if your being intense on them dont expect long battery life at all... You want a good graphics card, at least 3GB of ram, and a 2GHZ processor for what you want. Good luck though.
