Laptop Yellow Line
Vertical line on LCD of SONY VGN-FS640 laptop?
I purchased a SONY VAIO VGN-FS640 laptop 18 months ago . I noticed the LCD on my screen displayed on the right hand corner of the lcd 1 vertical line that shifted colors between yellow, white, and sometimes blue.Then 2 lines appeared then 3 then 4 some times getting thicker.
Someone please help. Thank you in advance.
I have seen this before, and it is sometimes caused by the video cable located at the back of LCD not being seated properly. If you remove the LCD bezel (Usually a few screws) and get to the back of the screen try to reseat the cable. If that doesn't work, it is most likely a vertical driver, and unfortunatley if you are not very technical savvy a screen replacement would probably be the easiest solution.
