RREP Orlando company team finds a solution to stop the Dell E6400 and E6500 CPU overheating
In October 2009, I bought a Dell Latitude E6400. As the owner of an Orlando Computer Repair BITS company that did my job specifications Control (CPU, FSB, hard disk speed, etc ...) and comments from other users. I did not know he was under the hood a heating problem that is crippling the system of hours at a time. Imagine close to finishing a project and all your programs come to a halt. Is the problem faced after spending the cash for a laptop again.
I isolated the problem of using video. Any extensive use of video (flash video, DVD playback, SlingPlayer, etc. ...) Could increase my use of the laptops CPU at 100% after 20 minutes of viewing. The CPU usage will decline until the team had been sitting for at least an hour. I tried updating drivers, updating the BIOS, but also to make the transition to Windows Vista 7. After to update my Windows machine 7 and still had the question I thought all my money went down the toilet, but in a final effort I found some utilities Just read some forums and determine the root cause of the problem. The graphics chip (GPU) has been the cause overheating my CPU clock under 500MHz and 800MHz.
I read all the forums about the failure of attempts to solve the overheating problem that causes the CPU usage to 100%. Some replace sinks Heat, fans replaced some internal, some have attempted to Dell expects the development of an updated BIOS to correct the heating table. None of these fixed the problem. After deep reflection, I clearly have an overheating problem why not add an external fan. I went and picked up a single tower laptop cooling fan and eliminate overheating issues. I have two 20 "monitors connected to my docking station E-Port, which has solved my all my problems. Now my laptop and it works fine.
