Can a VMware player be installed onto a hard drive?
I need to install Cisco Call Manager onto my PC, and I've been told that I can use a VMware player to do this. I also need to download a "virtual machine" to run it on. Can I download this rather large virtual machine file onto a portable hard drive? (My portable HD has 320 GB; my laptop HD has only 1.5 GB of space left).

yes you can, you can also run them off iPods or similar for good portability.
